The Full Moon and Human Behavior
63Does a full moon really effect us?
There are many articles written about the effects of the full moon on human behavior. Some are 'for' and some are 'against' the notion that people (and animals) behave differently during a full moon. Research shows both sides of the coin. So are you effected by the full moon or not?
I've noticed that my emotions are amplified during a full moon. If I was feeling depressed, the full moon makes my emotions crash to the bottom of the barrel. If I'm feeling good or manic, the feelings are intensified and I feel on top of the world. This is not to say I stare at the moon every day to find out what cycle it's in. When I experience the elation or depression though, I do look at the moon just to see if it is one explanation.
If you talk to policemen or health care professionals, they will tell you that things do go 'crazier' during the full moon. Crime rates may not go up but the crimes themselves are more bizaar. People in the hospital, if they are deathly ill, are more likely to pass away during a full moon. Many a baby has been born during the full moon cycle.
So what do I think? I believe that the full moon does effect the human body just as it effects the ocean tides. Do you have any information you want to share? I would be interested to hear/read about them.
Road Less Traveled
I heard about this theory about full moon. I even recalled reading about the energy that radiates from the moon when it is full. But really, i do not know still if it is true or not.

My Mum was very interested in Astrology, and maintained that, being Cancerian, she was ruled by the moon, and she believed that she felt more melancholy when the moon was full. I've also heard that the moon can affect menstrual cycles, but I'm not 100% sure about this.
